Picture of Dr. Virginia Bola
Dr. Virginia Bola owned and operated a successful
Rehabilitation company for more than 20 years, developing
innovative job search techniques for displaced workers. As a
licensed psychologist, she created pre-vocational training
programs for the seriously mentally ill. She also served as
a Vocational Expert for Social Security, in the Civil
Courts, and pioneered vocational testimony in Workers'
Compensation Hearings. She is now Manager of Clinical
Operations for a major Behavioral Healthcare Corporation.

Her latest book, The Wolf At The Door: An Unemployment
Survival Manual, is an interactive, caring workbook
providing the reader with personal guidance and
encouragement in one of the most uncomfortable situations
workers ever face. Therapeutic exercises, self-exploration,
confidence-building worksheets, and emotional support are
combined with specific, step-by-step techniques for finding
work.

In addition to her interest in the emotional correlates of
unemployment and job search, Dr. Bola is an admitted diet
fanatic, social commentator, and currently studies the
psychology of aging. She has authored numerous articles on
the psychology of weight control, social issues, politics,
and the graying of America. She is currently at work on two
books: "Diet With An Attitude" and "Age is ONLY an
Attitude."
